01 Context

Bitcoin trades continuously, but useful information does not arrive at a constant rate. Price can move because liquidity is thin, positioning is crowded or a genuine change in the macro backdrop is being repriced. The task is not to explain every candle. It is to identify which developments may matter beyond the next session.

02 Why it matters

A repeatable framework prevents the explanation from changing merely because price changed. It separates observable market data from interpretation and makes clear which evidence would strengthen, weaken or invalidate the current view.

That discipline is especially important for Bitcoin because it can trade as a high-beta liquidity asset, a scarce monetary asset or a position-driven market at different times. The relevant regime has to be inferred from several independent observations.

Start with the macro regime

The first layer is the environment in which risk is being taken. Dollar strength, Treasury yields and broader financial conditions help describe that environment. None of these variables determines Bitcoin in isolation, but together they can indicate whether liquidity is becoming more supportive or more restrictive.

Relationships also change. A rising dollar may coincide with Bitcoin weakness in one period and have little visible effect in another. We therefore treat correlations as context rather than permanent laws.

Separate demand from price

Price performance alone says little about the quality of a move. Spot Bitcoin ETF flows, trading participation and positioning can offer additional evidence about where demand appears to be coming from. Preliminary flow data are treated as preliminary; direction can be informative even when an exact total is not yet reliable.

Use a hierarchy of evidence

Each daily assessment gives more weight to observations that can be independently checked: programmatic market data before narrative explanations; primary sources before secondary interpretation; confirmed releases before preliminary estimates; and multi-market confirmation before single-chart conclusions.

What the daily note is designed to do

The Bitcoin Signal connects the day’s market data with the most relevant macro and institutional developments. The visual provides the compressed view; the accompanying analysis explains the evidence, competing interpretations and the factors worth watching next.

That discipline matters most when markets are moving quickly. The goal is a repeatable research process—not a reason to manufacture conviction every day.

03 · THE SIGNAL

A strong signal is not a confident prediction. It is a well-supported observation with its uncertainty left intact.

04 What to watch

Dollar and global liquidityRegime input

Broad dollar strength often tightens external funding conditions; weakness can be supportive when it is not caused by acute US stress.

Nominal and real yieldsOpportunity-cost input

Higher real yields raise the hurdle for non-yielding assets, while falling yields can ease that pressure.

ETF flows and spot demandDemand confirmation

Persistent flows are more informative than a single session and should be checked against price and volume.

Cross-asset confirmationConfidence filter

A signal becomes stronger when currencies, bonds, equities and Bitcoin tell a coherent story.
